How to Co-Register Temporal Stacks of Satellite Images |
| Improving land monitoring and change detection algorithms by using image-based co-registration to compensate for geo-location errors |
| Geo-location errors impair land monitoring and change detection analysis, as they cause mixing of signal belonging to different spatial locations. We executed an extensive analysis of image-based co-registration methods, and evaluated their performance on Sentinel-2 and PlanetScope time-series. This research lead to updating our eo-learn library to allow users to replicate our results and improve on their existing processing pipelines. Read our blog post for details. |

Free Sentinel Hub Subscription for Accelerating Entrepreneurship |
| ESA and Sinergise to collaborate on promotion of EO Space entrepreneurship |
| ESA has signed a letter of intent with Sinergise to foster EO entrepreneurship and encourage the development of EO commercial solutions. The collaboration will target companies supported by ESA Φ-lab, the InCubed EO commercialisation programme, ESA’s Business Incubation Centres and ESA Technology Brokers. One of the key actions for accelerating entrepreneurship will be a free one-year enterprise-level subscription for the Sentinel Hub. |

| Two new algorithms available |
| EDC Insights on Demand has been improved with two new algorithms aimed at agriculture. The Automatic Field Delineation algorithm can now automatically identify field boundaries using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery. Additionally, users can access Sentinel-2 signals for EuroCrops and retrieve them for any area of interest within the dataset using the EDC Browser. Both of these new features are also available through the Sentinel Hub VAS - EDC pricing wizard in the NoR portal. |
